I have been attending “Yoga at the Farmhouse” with Abha for 3 1/2 years now. I always look forward to her weekly offerings and I attend as many classes as I possibly can.
Her classes have transformed my yoga practice from an occasional exercise routine into a dedicated, lifetime practice. She weaves yoga philosophy throughout her teachings and the in depth focus on precision and alignment of the asanas (poses) taught in these classes, allows her to tailor her teachings to the individual students needs. I highly recommend “Yoga at the Farmhouse” for anyone looking to deepen their practice in a noncompetitive, beautiful country setting
Before joining Yoga at the Farmhouse, my physical health was greatly compromised. This way of practicing has provided me the motivation and insights to improve my mental, spiritual and physical well being – a definite journey worth taking!
Thanks to Abha’s classes I am experiencing my body in a whole new way. My physical along with my spiritual and psychological wellbeing has increased as a result of the depth and accuracy of how Iyengar yoga is being taught. It is a journey of discovery that I don’t want to miss in my life.
We have been attending Iyengar Yoga classes with Abha Humeniuk at the Yoga at the Farmhouse as well as virtually due to COVID-19 for more than two years. The classes are put into a meaningful context and then each pose is clearly demonstrated . Students are encouraged to do their best with the corrections provided and alternate methods suggested in helping to accomplish the aim of the pose when needed.
Abha is an excellent instructor who gives her all to the students to help them in any way possible while making Iyengar Yoga a meaningful and helpful part of one’s life..
I have really enjoyed working with Abha. She combines a mix of practice and theory seamlessly.
In particular pre-Covid I found in person classes reassuring and highly motivating, knowing that I was being observed and corrected and on occasion complimented!
Throughout the pandemic, the switch to Zoom classes was made easy too and even though I am being viewed through a screen I still feel that I am supervised and working in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.
I was introduced to Iyengar yoga eight years ago at Yoga at the Farmhouse. Despite my many physical and mental health challenges I was able to progress at my own pace with the instructions and support of the teacher, These ailments included previous back & knee surgery, spinal rods, arthritis, ptsd, etc.
I benefited greatly by the focus on alignment and inner spiritual reflection. I came to have a better understanding of the relationship between my inner being and my body. I continue to practice with Abha to receive benefits toward a healthier self.
I have attended yoga classes at Yoga at the Farmhouse for approximately two years. I cannot overestimate the benefits I have enjoyed both physically as well as for my inner self. I appreciate how classes are tailored , poses and props utilized to allow students to obtain the maximum benefit from the classes.
It is a pleasure to attend class and a consistent highlight of my week.
